The topic of this year’s Thomistic Seminar (for graduate students in philosophy) is Themes in the Philosophy of Alasdair MacIntyre and Thomas Aquinas. Dates are August 4-10, 2013. Application deadline is April 1, 2013. Location is the Witherspoon Institute in Princeton, NJ. See here.

The Aquinas and ‘the Arabs’ International Working Group presents an “on-line international live video graduate student workshop.” Draft papers due by March 1, 2013. The event will run March 21-22, 2013.

That same group has announced their annual fall workshop in Mexico City, Sept. 20-21, 2013. Paper submissions due May 15, 2013. See here.

In Paris, the Laboratoire d’Etudes sur les Monothéismes and the Centre d’Etudes Supérieures de la Renaissance are sponsoring their third annual conference for doctoral and post-doctoral students: “La philosophie médiévale in utramque partem.”  Deadline: March 1. Dates: May 6-7.

Diametros – An Online Journal of Philosophy is planning a special edition of the journal dedicated to actual and possible applications of Thomas Aquinas’ moral theory to the problems of contemporary practical ethics. Deadline of September 10, 2013. See here.

Finally, students at the New College of Florida have begun an undergraduate peer-reviewed journal of pre-modern studies, called Anemoi. They are keen to get work related to medieval philosophy. The deadline for submissions for the next issue is March 18, 2013. See here.
